Meet  Etrinda

Hello neighbors — I’m Etrinda Castle, I'm running to serve as your next East Point City Councilmember. I am proud to call East Point home. Being the youngest of three children raised in Savannah, I learned early the values of perseverance, community, and faith. My journey has always been about seeking opportunity, creating stability, and giving back to others.

After attending Fort Valley State University, I moved to Atlanta — a city of limitless possibilities. In 1995, I began a 15-year career with Delta Airlines in Technical Operations, where I built a strong foundation in leadership, accountability, and problem-solving. At the same time, I pursued real estate investing, believing that every family deserves access to quality affordable housing. That passion led me to launch Castle One Consultant in 2012, which later became The Castle Group in 2016, transforming business success into community impact.

My work expanded into human services through consulting with local nonprofits — wherefor the past 14 years, I became deeply engaged in wraparound services, permanent supportive housing, grant writing, creating policy/procedures and building sustainable revenue streams for nonprofit organizations. In 2012, I proudly founded Hope Toward Home Ownership. Partnering with financial institutions such as Chase, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo during the housing crisis. Together, we accepted 148 donated properties across 14 states, collaborating with local governments to halt evictions and help families stay in their homes. For me, this wasn’t just housing — it was restoring stability, dignity, and hope for families across communities.

My life’s work has always been rooted in service and leadership. As a homeowner, I'm deeply rooted in the continuous growth of our beloved city. I serve on nonprofit boards, partnering with neighborhood associations, and proudly lead as President of Carriage Colony Community (2019–present), where I work with neighbors to address residents needs and strengthen community pride. My faith also anchors my service at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church: I serve in the Usher Ministry and help organize our Church Anniversary Committee.

I am the proud mother of two wonderful daughters and “Gigi” to my grandson. I hold dual degrees in Sociology and Psychology from Georgia State University; I bring both compassion and strategic thinking to everything I do.

Now, I am ready to bring that same dedication to the East Point City Council. My vision is simple: a city government that is trustworthy, responsive, and focused on people. By investing in infrastructure, supporting our city staff, strengthening public safety, and improving quality of life, we can ensure our city is not just a place to live — but a place to truly thrive.

Vision

My vision for East Point is rooted in strong city staff who feel valued and equipped to serve. With solid infrastructure and partnerships that branch out to meet community needs, we can grow together. The result is safe thriving neighborhoods where every resident enjoys a better quality of life

It emphasizes the importance of responsible resource management, environmental protection, and social equity. ensuring our city is committed to proactive measures that prevent crime and promote safety awareness. Together, we can build a strong, vibrant community safety is at the forefront of our efforts.

Infrastructure Improvements

Fixing East Point’s Infrastructure – Building a Safer, Stronger Community

Every day, the roads we drive on, the sidewalks we walk, the water we rely on, and the lights that keep our streets safe affect our families and neighborhoods. In East Point, years of underinvestment have left our streets rough, pipes aging, and streetlights dark.

  • I would work to prioritize repairs that matter most — making streets safe and reliable.

  • Make sound decisions to invest wisely — using city funds, grants, and partnerships to fix problems for the long term.

  • Work to maintain and monitor — ensuring small issues don’t become major headaches.

  • Most importantly, keep you informed — so residents know what’s being fixed, when, and how.

Better infrastructure means safer streets, reliable utilities, and stronger neighborhoods. It’s about making East Point a place where families can thrive every day.
